Beds on the east wall, where the outlets are

Eight beds, four booths, one loop in and out the south doors.

Drawn to scale from the hall manager's 64 by 40 ft floor sheet. Dashed line: the donor's walk.

Donors walk one loop, about 60 minutes

  1. Check in at A, right inside the south doors.
  2. Wait at B on 24 chairs along the west wall.
  3. Screen in a C booth, curtained, 10 to 15 minutes.
  4. Donate at a D bed, then sit 15 minutes at E before leaving by the same doors.

Why eight beds fit and ten do not

Beds are 3 by 7 ft. Two rows of four, heads to the wall, with 3 ft between beds and a 7 ft aisle for the phlebotomists, fill 21 by 21 ft. A fifth row would block either the fire exit's clear zone or the walkway along the south wall.
